DIY Scrapbook Paper Christmas Trees & Vignette

December 14, 2017

I have always enjoyed creating Christmas Vignettes and when I can find a way to incorporate some DIY goodness into the mix, I am all in. Every Christmas Vignette needs a few Christmas Trees.

For this DIY project we will be using balsa wood Christmas Trees, scrap book paper, glitter and mod-podge. I think that you will enjoy this fun Holiday crafting project and the children in your life will too!

Let's gather around our craft tables and make these super cute and easy Scrapbook paper Christmas Trees!

This DIY Christmas Tree craft leans towards "old school," as well as simple and fast!

These Christmas Trees are not perfect because this craft involves tracing and cutting, so grab some scissors, a pen and let's get going!

I am pretty certain this craft project could be done more precisely with a Sizzix Die Cut Machine.

Which by the way I have asked for as a Christmas gift...hint to Hubby.

Once I finished this easy DIY Modge Podge Christmas Tree project, I added them to my Christmas Village Vignette.

For added height just place the Christmas Trees on leftover birch wood rounds.

  1. Good morning Jemma,
I love these trees! I haven't done decoupage in ages and I really enjoy doing it (though we all end up wearing and eating glitter for weeks afterwards)....I will have to get back to this fun craft again. These trees look so sweet in your vignette! Beautiful my friend! Happy crafting! Sending love and holiday best wishes....Linda

  2. I'm not a huge fan of decoupage but these trees are adorable. Easy fun projects for Christmas are the best and what a sweet display, Looks like a little vintage is mixed in . I'm thinking scrap fabric would be another neat option if paper wasn't handy. Merry Christmas!

  6. Great tutorial. And yes, more precisely, maybe with the gadget. And yet I don't think it would be nearly so much fun. I love this look.

These are elegant but fun. They'd be a great craft for a mid-level or even beginning crafter and your tutorial instructions are so clear. I'm saving this one!

  12. Jemma, these are so creative, and I love those little birch wood rounds. You did a really nice job on the little trees. The glittery one with the song notes is so pretty, and Oh, the train, that got to me right away, as my grandfather worked for the railroad and I have a fascination with the trains. Look at those sweet carolers, how cute. It looks a wonderland village - just darling, Jemma. I am enjoying all the clever projects you are working on. Thank you for sharing them all.

    love, ~Sheri
