Thank you for joining us today as we share Brighten In Royse City!
Searching for just the right establishment to host our Brighten Workshop at this year was no simple task.
Carole and I combined a modest budget, a whole lot of passion, perseverance and a deep desire to bring inspiration, motivation, tips and takeaways all together under one sweet roof.
That roof just happens to be in Royse City where ” a friendly touch of Texas,” is melded together with a hometown atmosphere.
We were also fortunate enough to snap up one of the best venues in town, the Sweet Face Sugar Shoppe and Bakery on 134 East Main Street in Royse City Texas.
As we defined our vision for the Brighten workshop we knew we wanted to bring you a unique experience.
Was camaraderie on our list? Absolutely!
When we work together we create bonds that span a lifetime and we form unions that offer support, education, inspiration and opportunities.
We are not Islands, we are communities.
So when we found the Sweet Face Sugar Shoppe & Bakery we knew we were all a perfect fit.
It is important for us to share a bit about one of the founders and owners of the Bakery, Amy Cody.
Amy is a delightful, warm and exuberant young woman and when you walk in the Bakery you immediately feel welcomed.
Her laugh and smile as are as genuine as the Texas sunshine.
She openly, honestly and bravely shared why and how she and her husband opened the bakery.
For Carole and I this was testimony to anything is possible as long as you keep trying.
“Amy, why did you open up your Bakery?”
” To cope with the loss of our son, I started painting which led me to baking. Sweet Face started from coping with grief because the plan I had for my life was very different than God’s plan for my life.”
“Amy, how did you decide on the name of your Bakery?”
“Sweet Face was named after my son who passed away at 13 months from brain cancer. Everyday I called him “Sweet Face,” until his passing.”
“What year did you open up your Bakery?”
” I worked 8 years out of my home and then opened our shop in March 2015 in Royse City.”
We are humbled and honored to be able to share with you the story of the Sweet Face Bakery & Sweet Shoppe in Royse City, which hosts Birthday parties, Christmas gatherings, Sunday socials and now the Brighten Workshop!
