My Little Blue Flower Pots
April 23, 2013
I am so enjoying all of the materials that are available to re-do things. I know
it is fashionable to be DIY, but gosh it is also just plain fun!! Everywhere I look
in my home I see re-do's!
I am really wondering what I saw in these two yellow flower pots...
Perhaps it was the design?
The color of this flower pot wasn't even particularly flattering to the plants!
So when my husband began cleaning out the corner of the garage where my
flower pots are tucked away, he asked me if he could throw these two yellow
flower pots away.
I gasped, because I am a bit of a hoarder with my flower pots-you already
know why from my previous posts. However I did agree something
desperately needed to be done.

I knew that spray paint was going to be my choice for re-doing these flower
pots. I also knew that I loved blue! Who can resist blue?
What I didn't know was that there were so many glorious colors, shades
textures and finishes. For $3.97 I was able to have two new flower pots.
So, now that I have discovered the joy in these happy colors, I feel certain
that I will be able to find other little flower pots to brighten up.
Do you have any re-do's waiting for you in a corner?

I think I have a pot like your blue one, but mine is green. Aren't you loving the advent of spring?

Hi Jemma,
ReplyDeleteI love how that turned out. And now you've given me some ideas for what I can do with my not-so-pretty flower pots! Did you need any sort of special spray paint, for the particular surface of your pots?
Hope your day was beautiful!
Hi Jemma,
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you!
There's something about 'blue' that makes me very happy...oh yeah...red! I cannot resist these two colours when they are together, as they are in your masterpiece of a flowerpot!
Looking forward to taking a little tour of your beautiful blog!
