Inspirational Thursday-The Cookie
October 24, 2013
Have you ever had someone give you something just because they
were being nice?
Last week this lovely gesture known as being "nice," happened to
me.
It was just an ordinary day at the hair salon and I was simply getting
an ordinary trim.
When one of my hair stylists clients came in with two festive
Halloween cookies for her.
I admired her client's cookies, the client smiled politely at me and
said "thank you," as she went on her way.
Cut turned into style out and nearly an hour had passed by. Just as
I was preparing to leave the client with the cookies came through the
door smiling. In her hand she held a beautiful pumpkin sugar
cookie and she gave it to me!
Wondering how nice presented itself in your week?

ReplyDeleteMelinda,
DeleteThis completely caught me by surprise and made my day-really the entire month!
I know this random act of kindness just made your day...I have a friend who tries to practice this once a week....it's such a good idea and I am sure the givers are blessed more than the recipients....
ReplyDeleteI like this idea-what a great time of the year to incorporate this way of living into our lives.
DeleteGosh that was just so nice...doesn't happen to often...they are such cute cookies, wow what a nice thing...once my car would not start and I needed to get back to work from lunch, I went into a flower shop (pre cell phone days) to use her phone, i was just so upset and angry the stupid car would not start...she handed me a large bouquet of flowers and just said "I hope the rest of your day is better"..wow who does that...

Wasn't that sweet? And you did it in such justice! I love the decorations you put with it. Hey I was looking at your Pinterest photo and it is not the same photo that you have here. You have shorter hair. So what new style did you get now? Bet it is pretty! sandie

I love it when others do nice, that's a great looking cookie! Yesterday a lady banged into our vehicle in the parking lot, another driver mentioned to us. AND! She came over and apologized for doing it...now if that isn't nice, what is?
