Hemlock Green Vignette
March 03, 2014
I am dazzled with Hemlock Green,
one of the perfectly inspired Pantone Spring colors for 2014.
I have infused a little Hemlock green into our home to add a dash of
Springtime happiness to my treasured secretary desk.
Did you know green is a color which represents harmony, growth and balance?
I am normally not a huge fan of green,
but when I paired it with our French gray walls...
I fell in love.
These two colors complement one another perfectly.
Hemlock green, a lovely hue with soft and cool undertones.
Green- symbolic of freshness, nature and rejuvenation.
A Hemlock Green Vignette with a little touch of Irish cheer.
Adding a little good luck, can't hurt, right... :)
So many beautiful Pantone colors for 2014 do you have a favorite?

Oh how pretty is the combination of green and grey!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty shade of green. Green has always been my favourite colour, but I like the lighter shades, not the very dark greens so much. I guess St. Paddy's Day will soon be upon us won't it! I have my live shamrock plant in my kitchen, and love its delicate white flowers and long-stemmed bouncy leaves :) Wendy x
ReplyDeleteThat is funny - that color green is my favorite color. And of course aqua. I just feel alive with it. Even named my daughter Kelly.
ReplyDeleteJemma, such freshness and energy and vitality in your hemlock green vignette! I think, it's because of the white flowers and vases, which bring out both the vibrancy of the green and zap the neutrality of the grey. I love the fleur-de-lis motif you have featured in your very pretty secretary! Thanks for sharing this feeling of fresh starts for the month of March, which will hopefully bring spring weather to us, as scheduled!!

Very pretty vignette. I love to look at the Pantone colors too, they provide a lot of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteJemma,
ReplyDeleteYour green Irish vignette is so festive! I really like the color, and it's Nel's favorite color. It looks so nice against your white secretary desk. I have a vase just like yours that holds the white flowers in. It's my best vase because it's big and holds lots of flowers. Your post was delightful today, Jemma. You know, my kids are part Irish on their father's side.
Love,

Love the addition of the green and such a great Irish theme. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of tones of green here in our lanai. It brings the outside in. I love your greenery. Best o' luck! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI guess I don't know much about the Pantone colors but I did hear the term Radiant Orchid and I think that was their "color of the year" . The green does look great with your grays...love how you decorated the secretary and the two pots with the green moss balls.
ReplyDeletePops of greenery paired with neutral is the perfect way to liven up a space! I still need to get some more green accents going on in my own home. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll take a little good luck any day, friend. ;) The pops of green here are beautiful, just the right amount. You've just inspired me to make a new front door decoration. This is what I love about blogging, the warm greetings, kind friends, and endless inspiration. Not so easy to give up, is it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend, love.
