Garden Party
April 08, 2015
Red Tips are in full bloom~
Songbirds share their merry tunes-it's an ideal setting for a garden party!
Make your outdoor blooming vistas the backdrop for your celebrations.
Mother's Day, Graduations, Showers or Birthdays.
Dress up the table using vintage fabric or a white tablecloth makes the day feel even more special.
Bring out the favorites, stemware, plates, dishes and utensils.
( my very favorite stemware hand painted by my daughter.)
Most of the decorating is already in place, thanks to Mother Nature.
Bouquets of your very favorite Spring flowers arranged in creative containers or vases.
Daisies and miniature carnations make this posey,
but just imagine Peonies, Lenten roses and Lilacs...oh..the fragrance...
Chippy plant stands in assorted shapes and colors.
Short on Chair covers use tablecloths secured with tulle.
A Simply Splendid Day.

I have to agree with the comments about the tablecloth! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in that tablecloth are delicious Jemma! I assume that since you mentioned 'vintage' that it is? It's hard to find cloths like that that are new.
ReplyDeleteYour setting is so pretty, and I can imagine it being a sweet gathering place for some friends to gather and gossip ;).
Jemma, your posts are always so delightful. Look at all the flowers in bloom! Really love the design on that little table, and the color. I smiled when I saw the carnations. That's the flower my husband used to bring me when we were dating. Their smell is lovely, and they last such a long time. What a sweet bird this is. These pictures are so dreamy - it looks like an enchanted setting.

I would love to go to your Garden Party! Each detail is perfect, that pretty tablecloth lovely as a background for your posies and stemware. Your idea for slipcovers for the garden chairs is great! I have quite a collection of the small bridge cloths women used to have so I'll have to keep that in mind.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always so beautiful! I love your aqua tablecloth - that is my favorite color. And all your flowers are so wonderful. I love the wine glasses did you paint them? Your little bird on the table - so sweet.
ReplyDeleteIt's all absolutely perfect, from the posies to the painted stemware and that stunning tablecloth, reminiscent of simpler times, charming times, times that can perhaps only be recreated by a gathering of good friends and cozy conversation. Thanks for the beautiful garden part, my friend. It was a pleasure!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, to you!
Hugs,
Poppy

If you ask me a garden party is the best kind of party! Like you said, Mother Nature provides most of the decorations. Love the tablecloth and your daughter did a wonderful job hand painting the stemware. Sounds like a wonderful idea Jemma! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
