2 Simple Saturday Crafts
September 19, 2015
If you are like me, or you just like to have a little project on the back burner,
I have two Simple Saturday Crafts to share today.
Simple materials, inexpensive and easy peasy.
I made these decoupage pumpkins a couple of years ago, and they were super easy
and fun.
You know you can use all types of materials, book pages, music pages, wrapping paper, let your imagination be your guide.
Here is the link to the post if you would like an overview, Decoupage Pumpkins.
How creative is this paper plate holder all decorated up for Fall and looking like a cute, cute pumpkin.
I pinned this to my Pumpkins And Such Pinterest Board, where you will find 396 pins devoted to pumpkins and such-who-hoo!
Just click on this LINK for the tutorial on how to make this adorable and easy peasy project.
I had the best time this past week joining in with 27 Bloggers for the 2015 Fall Tour.
I enjoyed the inspiration from each of these ladies and the genuine fellowship that bloggers are synonymous with.
Wanted to say thank you to Brenda, for her organization and kindness.
In fact, I saw this on Facebook this morning, and wanted to share it, because it sums the week up so very well.
Enjoy your weekend my dears!
xoxo

Those are so cute Jemma....I will never look at a paper plate holder the same way again, lol.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the pumpkins around here are going to hang on long enough for Halloween.
Jen
Hi Jen!
DeleteLol, crazy fun crafts anyway-the role of the pumpkin has changed:)
Oh goodness, I bet you are due to have a frost any day now?? We have the opposite problem here-our pumpkins mold because of heat and humidity.
Very cute crafts!! I love that quote from Facebook. It is so true with all the lovely ladies I follow. It is an uplifting, wonderful place to be with other women. There is no room for jealousy in the blog world!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie,
DeleteI just love to have a fun and simple craft to turn to during this time of the year.
It's true, isn't it? As women bloggers we need to really support one another, makes the world such a sweeter place:)
Pinned! I love that saying. Bet you can't wait to get on that plane.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Love it too, and I believe in the power of these friendships.
DeleteOh yes, Brenda-can't wait for Monday!
So cute! Gotta find some paper plate holders. Love those.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Can't you just see making these plate holders as a great craft with the grands?
DeleteI guess my comment didn't go on properly - love the decoupage pumpkins and am sending the site to myself to check it out better. Ordered four bars of soap! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOne can never go wrong with decoupage and there are so many creative possibilities.
DeleteOh good-I bought myself 2 bars of that wonderful soap today, even splurged and went with a Lavender scent.
I remember that post on the decoupage pumpkins because my grand daughter and I tried it and had so much fun. In fact, I need to find out if she still has them....The paper plate holder is very cute and would be ideal for a child to make.
ReplyDeleteNancy,
DeleteI remember you mentioning that you were going to do this craft with your granddaughter, I am glad that you did! I always like to have a few fun crafts up my sleeve for when the youngsters drop by.
Oh dear, dear Jemma.....that BLUE pumpkin is fantastic! I LOVE IT! And this is the time to play with easy creations, isn't it? I spent a little time yesterday in our perfect weather, redoing the front yard with some décor. But what strikes me is this: here I was blogging for seven beautiful years, and now that I'm out, I so wish I was back in just to "play" with you. But, IG was a blast, continues to be though I'm not participating as much, but I will hope that when summer comes around again, we can see one another more frequently. Like blogging, IG has brought us together, and I hope that somehow, our creativity can meet.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THAT BLUE PUMPKIN! XOXOXOXO
Good Morning Dear Anita,
DeleteOh how much enjoyment you must have received yesterday as you worked about outside. I just bet your weather has the feel of Fall in the air. I wish you were available to post your lovely photos on IG. We did have an enjoyable Summer together didn't we? Loved your trip to Carmel.
Dear Jemma,
ReplyDeleteyour decorations are beautiful. My favorite is the decoupage pumpkins.
Thank you for your comment with me. I wish you a beautiful Sunday.
Much love and hugs ... Dorothea :-)
Good Morning Dorothea,
DeleteAlways a joy to visit with you and I always enjoy your photos of the countryside.
Blessings and love to you~
I'm not crafty at all....
ReplyDeleteBut what you do is fun to see...
Tessa,
DeleteCrafts certainly aren't for everyone. Glad you stopped by:)
Very crafty and cute. It's amazing how many wonderful projects can be created out of simple things. Enjoy and have a safe and fun trip with the new grandbaby. xo
ReplyDeleteLinda,
DeleteI always enjoy having a few simple crafts on hand-
Oh you know that I will so enjoy giving that sweet baby some grandma love.
Thanks so much!
Hi Jemma, Love the wonderful Halloween and fall decorations. So much fun here and inspiration. Your decoupaged pumpkins are adorable.
ReplyDeleteLoved the tour this week. Thank you for sharing the verse. It is so true!! Blessings to you for a great week ahead. Hugs, cm
Hello Dear Celestina,
DeleteThank you, I too enjoyed the homes, the decoration and the talent in our wonderful community.
It is a pleasure to have you stop by!
I did a version of decoupaging pumpkins last year (and glazing them, too! That was fun!). And the straw is so cheery! I'm beginning to get into my fall groove now. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThese are cute pumpkin crafts Jemma ... great idea with the decoupage pumpkins! And that little saying about friendships is spot on ;)
