Sweet and Simple Valentine Vignette
January 29, 2016
Today was a day that was illuminated by Texas blue skies, radiant sunbeams, and cherry
red cardinals decorating gray and barren trees of Winter.
Life is good, life is sweet.
I just could not think of a better way to celebrate the blessings of this day than to begin
it with a brisk walk, then creating a sweet and simple Valentine Vignette.
Of course a bright and brilliant primrose is always a welcome guest.
Finding wonderment in gentle light, velvet green petals and golden glow treasures.
Collections thoughtfully curated throughout the years, create a sweet and simple
Valentine Vignette for this year and more to come.
Thinking of you all and wishing you a beautiful weekend.

For this sweet and simple valentine vignette I used vintage china and Valentines.
All of these Valentine's are from my family.
Some of these Valentines date back to my Grandmother.
The little love notes written on the back of them make me smile.
Of course a bright and brilliant primrose is always a welcome guest.
Vintage Valentine postcards, and ribbon create a small banner to accent this Valentine Vignette.
Whimsical Wonder.
Simple joys unfurl their blossoms and create childlike delight.

I love all of these, Jemma -- and a wonderful way to showcase collections!
ReplyDeleteJeanie,
DeleteI thought of you when creating this sweet Valentine Vignette-I know you have curated many treasures as well.
Very pretty, Jemma, and festive for the day of love! Nice job. Susan
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Susan!
DeleteWe are having a glimpse of Spring here and I always get the planting bug.
Way too early, but I satisfy those thoughts of Spring with a few treats from the gardening center!
Happy Friday and thank you for visiting today.
Jemma
This is gorgeous! We certainly have had the prettiest blue skies here in Texas this week. :) Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous geraniums and primroses. You have reminded that I really need to redo my front posts. The frosts here in Fort Worth killed my red cyclamens.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Very pretty indeed! xx
ReplyDeleteSo very cute! Great job!
ReplyDeleteDon't ya just love those vintage Valentine cards, Jemma? My sister first introduced them to me many years ago, and ever since then I was hooked. :) Your little Valentine space is so delightful. The pink geraniums and rose buds are pretty, and the gold china really adds a little something. Jess has decided that she wants Pink at her bridal shower this summer with a hot air balloon traveling theme. She's been looking on Pinterest for ideas. You're always so creative, if you have any ideas to share, let me know. This is truly a lovely post today, Jemma.

Jemma I think that brisk walk filled your heart with inspiration and poetic feelings. There is nothing as refreshing as being out in nature soaking in her essence. Ahhh gentle light is dreamy and romantic and I adore your sweet pretty Valentine's vignette. Watching daily as blossoms unfurl always fills me with delight. I'm on forced Pink Tulips unfurling watch ... almost ready.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend my friend.
xoxo,
Vera
Beautiful pictures for a really beautiful day!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, the temps are supposed to be lovely!
Blessings,
J
So beautiful, full love, and spring-looking!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO SO HAPPY! Dearest, I am late; I had to get to work at 4:00AM this morning on a lesson, and then had to run off...story of my life at the moment. But what a treat it is to come here NOW and enjoy this beautiful array of pinks. We are heading into SPRING and I will never forget the moments I spent last year getting to know you. MORE MORE MORE this year! Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy spirits are so lifted looking at your post! I love geraniums, I was able to winter over a few. Very cold here but I'm patient.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a beautiful post, have a lovely weekend!
Jane
Your flowers and valentines day card are so pretty and it all reminds me of spring!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Julie xo
We are still buried in a blanket of white snow. Your bright colors and blooms are a very welcome sight!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, pretty post. I am so envious of flowers and green growing things this time of year. We only grow snow banks and icicles here! This was a happy post on an overcast day here. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet vignette, Jemma. Those little valentines are so, so cute, and the flowers are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Carol
I just enjoyed all the flowers tucked in with your lovelies. I love Valentines.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty vignette. And it makes me think of Spring. We had 65 degrees here today...and last week we were still snowed in. I am soooo ready for spring. Sheila
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignettes. Those geraniums are amazing. It certainly feels like spring doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteSweet & Simple is a perfect description. I love old-fashioned valentines, and that shade of pink on your primrose just glows! I have the same shade of pink in my favourite geranium ;) I hope you're having a wonderful week Jemma!
