DIY Easter Centerpiece
March 22, 2016
Each Easter we gather our families together for our annual Easter egg hunt and dinner.
This year we celebrated on Palm Sunday.
I always enjoy getting together we our extended and melded family of many.
The day is always filled with much laughter and memory making moments, organized chaos, the sound of busy feet, squeals of delight and smiles.
In fact, if we can make it through one of our large gatherings without any injuries or too big of tears we consider the entire event successful!
This year we combined Easter and our granddaughters Birthday celebration together.
I am sharing with you today one of the simplest Easter Centerpieces you will ever make.
I made another one a few years ago using faux flowers that you might want to take a peek at too, it is here.
Did I mention that I really enjoy entertaining, especially our family...big smile.
I just really like to share with you all, tips on how to entertain in our homes with our families.
You know, family is our most precious gift and making them feel loved, welcome and special is one the the best gifts to give to them and ourselves.
Our Easter gathering is filled with children, so naturally I like to keep the whimsy and magic flowing through our home and make it the theme throughout the day.
So, anything that involves Peeps and marshmallows screams kiddos to me.
Supplies For DIY Easter Centerpiece
Two Clear vases-One large one and one smaller as the smaller vase will fit inside the larger one.
One package of assorted mini marshmallows.
Several packages of peeps.
Flowers.
I am just going to use arrows, instead of a lengthy explanation of the process that will just make this all seem so much more difficult than it really is, you know what I mean...
This is such a simple assembly.
Presto, in 10 minutes you have a centerpiece.
Happy Birthday sweet Afton, we love you so much!
I found this little tin Chalkboard at Target in the three dollar tubs.
Used a little colored chalk.
The day was so beautiful.
A little windy and cool but there were plenty of eggs and the hunt begins!
Followed by magical bubbles.
Thank you for joining me, looking forward to seeing you back for Wandering Wednesday.
xoxo

ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time. Cute idea for the centerpiece...far better than eating the peeps!
ReplyDeleteSweetest little centerpiece! What a wonderful family get together! Everyone looks like they are having a ball! I especially love the photo where the kids are sprinting off to find their eggs! Priceless!

Hi Jemma! What a precious little Peep centerpiece. I made one for Halloween and didn't think about making one for Easter....love this idea! Gorgous colors on your tablescape too! Wonderful inspiration!!! Happy Easter love!
ReplyDeleteThat centerpiece is just so cute! And, a great way to use Peeps!
ReplyDeleteHi Jemma! Oh, your Easter centerpiece is adorable! You're so creative. What fun with the kiddos! I'm sure there was lots of laughter going on.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a wonderful day and way to celebrate with your family. Everything looks just darling-from the centerpiece to the kids running with bubbles. You are right- family is SO special. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh... I miss Easter egg hunts! My kids are adults and I no longer teach little kids. Maybe I'll put eggs all over my front lawn and invite the neighbors to hunt for them.
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun, Jemma! Love your DIY centerpiece and how you used the Peeps. Happy Easter!...Christine
ReplyDeleteGood morning my friend! I loved this project when I saw it and wondered how you got those peeps in the vase! And the color of the hyacinths....DIVINE! It says spring with the perfume of the garden. How fun to have started the celebration early! I hope that this weekend you will enjoy the HAPPINESS of hope as we look up into the sky to remember our true home. HAVE FUN!
ReplyDeleteJemma.... I LOVE your centerpiece!!! Too cute. Your family is precious and it looks like a good time had by all. Love those girls in the big bows! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteReally cute centerpiece! Those hyacinths are gorgeous. That is a good way to use peeps....they are not edible as far as I am concerned :-) I know kids love them though.
ReplyDeleteAwe...I just think that is the cutest centerpiece ever! There is nothing like family getting together and sharing fun times. I love watching the little ones hunt eggs and sometimes the big ones. Ha! I hope that you and your precious family has a blessed Easter. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Little children make it seem to much more special. Looks like Afton was enjoying her birthday celebration too! The marshmallow arrangement is so cute. I've seen it done with jelly beans but not the little marshmallows. Either way they are adorable. I've got a pile of things staged on the dining table to take to my Mom's for Easter. Hopefully this darn winter storm that's coming won't cause too much trouble for travel!
ReplyDeleteIncredibly cute and your centerpiece is really adorable! I've done the flower and double vase ting before with M&Ms and jelly beans but the peeps are so darned cute, I may need to revise!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day you had with the children and you are making such wonderful memories for them. All those adorable peeps and flowers, just love it pretty lady.
ReplyDeleteI will subscribe so I know exactly when your party is on.
Thank you for visiting, you made my day.

Enjoy the week and have a Happy Easter.
Hugs, Julie xo
What a lovely time. The kiddos look like they are having so much fun. The centerpiece is darling. I keep looking to create one too. Combining the outing with Afton birthday is a fun idea. Many memories are made and treasured forever. Happy spring sweet Jemma. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Jemma, Everything goes better with Peeps! What a great project for the little ones. Pinned and Happy Easter! Joan-My Cookie Clinic
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day, Jemma. All the kids look so sweet looking for their eggs and blowing bubbles. When my kids were small, we would all gather at my mom's house for Easter egg hunts. Your grandkids sure have a large area to explore, which makes it even more fun for them. What a cute post, and I love that glass jar with the yellow marshmallow bunnies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, dear Jemma.
love, ~Sheri
Jemma,
ReplyDeleteVery lovely Birthday, Palm Sunday and an early Easter celebration with your family. Love that you did a egg hunt and that little blackboard for 3 bucks looks like a million and added to the excitement of the day.
Pretty tablescape with peep humor. Wishing you a blessed Easter.
xoxo,
Vera
A perfect centerpiece for the little ones to enjoy and it looks as if they were just having a blast between the egg hunt and bubbles! :)
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece is so pretty and perfect for Spring and celebrating a birthday. Do you know what else I loved?? That you used paper plates!! We have found that with a large family, it makes clean up so much easier and besides, they're so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter blessings to you!
Adorable Jemma! What a fun party and egg hunt!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Such a cute idea! It looks like the birthday girl and the others had such a fun day! Happy Easter to you and your family Jemma!
ReplyDeleteJoyce- this is what those special moments with family are all about.
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece is wonderful and perfect for a special family get together!
I love the centrepiece! Quick & easy :) I'm at that in-between stage with family. All my kids and my siblings' kids are mostly adults now, and there aren't any grandkids in our family just yet. So no Easter egg hunts until new babies begin to arrive :( Your family gathering looks like it was a lot of fun, and everyone dressed in their best for dinner ... so cute! Happy Easter!

What a magical way to spend a special day!
ReplyDeleteHave a joyful and glorious Easter.
I fell in love with your centerpiece the first time I saw it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely Easter - we are in Sacramento.
Jemma, what a delightful celebration and your centerpiece is just adorable! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm!
