Dessert Presentation
April 08, 2016
We had a little impromptu family gathering last weekend so I made two desserts.
Brownies for part of the family and homemade sugar cookies for the other half.
I wanted to dress things up a bit, so after dinner I created a little dessert presentation with
two basic elements.
These two basic elements will transform your dessert table from pretty to fabulous, in no
time at all.
Tip One - A proper pedestal to display your desserts on is essential.
A tiered stand creates charm and adds elegance, it is a perfect way to serve cookies,
brownies, cakes, or cheese and assorted hors d'oeuvres.
Tip Two- There is nothing that adds more beauty or charm to a table than a fresh bouquet
of Flowers.
A scattering of flowers can can take an occasion from ordinary to delightful and with such
little effort or worry.
No matter the occasion, large or small, planned or impromptu.
Add fresh flowers and a proper pedestal to your next dessert presentation!
I sure hope that you have time to drop by on Monday where
Stacey from Poofing The Pillows, Laura from White Spray Paint and myself are going to
share some kitchen pretties.
Happy Friday and have a beautiful weekend,
xo

Well said and very pretty! Happy Friday!!!
ReplyDeleteWell said and very pretty! Happy Friday!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the presentation and the desserts look so yummy. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHello Jemma, I love the fresh flowers. Your brownies and cookies look delicious. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery attractive! I will admit I'm OCD enough that I couldn't leave the bottom plate empty ( atleast from the photo it looks empty). I would have snuck a few cookies or maybe even a few flowers down there. That is certainly just me I am sure! Kind of like those kids plates with the compartments. I had to have a little something in each spot! Heehee! Happy Friday! Off to a bridal shower! ❤️
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Bridal shower!
DeleteThere were goodies on the bottom plate, unfortunately I took photos after the fact and not before:) LOL!
Oh good! You know it's the little things in life that we think about the most!
DeleteGreat tips Jemma. Your goodies look delicious and I love how pretty it is. Great photography.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
I have a ton of cake plates and pedestals for dessert presentation. I love the way it transforms a simple tray of cookies to a pretty display!!
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. Good tips to remember. Sheila
ReplyDeleteYour two tips are excellent. You could add a third: Chocolate makes everything perfect.
ReplyDeleteThere's those gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how many times I've missed photo ops because I was too impatient (and hungry). lol
Your flowers and dessert display are so pretty and charming. Fresh flowers do so much to pretty things up and lift your spirits! My hubby has been coming in with large bunches of flowers from Trader Joe's just about every two weeks....is he something or what? He says he likes the way my face lights up when I have fresh flowers to arrange. Need I say....KEEPER! I also adore cake stands that make even the simplest of desserts look extra-special.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs, pretty lady!

ReplyDeleteBROWNIES AND SUGAR COOKIES - these are my favorite desserts! (and chocolate cake hehehe). These look so Yummy, Jemma. And the aqua pedestal is perfect to display your scrumptious desserts. I bet all your family enjoyed every bite. The flowers add a special touch as well.

can I ask where you got this dessert pedestal? It's so pretty.
Your dessert table looks fantastic. The flowers and all the yummy brownies and cookies. I am hungry for some right now.

Fresh flowers do the trick, no matter what the dessert of meal! And that tiered server reminds me so much of my mom. She had two that she'd use for parties and I can see it all now....thank you, Jemma!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the presentation in food, gifts, and decorating. Those iced cookies at the grocery store are gourmet when served on a pretty platter. Great tips!
ReplyDeleteYou are truly the hostess with the mostess!

Very pretty how you displayed them and flowers can help just about everything! Presentation is key and not being a big baker like that I can buy and make them look like I made them!
ReplyDeleteJemma ever so pretty. Flowers and cookies brings a smile to anyones face. Sweet tips.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your posts that always warms my heart.
xoxo,
Vera
So pretty -- and I couldn't agree with you more on both points -- flowers and pedastals!
