Haunting Halloween Wreath
October 10, 2016
Welcome to a Haunting Halloween Wreath making sort of day.I am sharing a few easy steps with you on how to make your own purple and black Halloween wreath. It is part whimsy and part haunting, a happy mix of Halloween fun.Spooky enough to frighten and yet silly enough to spread Halloween cheer.
It's a perfect time of the year to perfect your wreath making skills.
I made this wreath on our back patio in less than two hours. It is a combination of leftovers from a previous Halloween wreath and some discounted Halloween item from Michaels.
Perfect time to stock up on those seasonal items, as all of the craft stores are moving out their Fall inventory for Christmas.
These are the items you will need for your Haunting Halloween Wreath:
- 1. 18 inch grapevine wreath. (I spray painted mine gray-optional)
- 2. 3 Black roses
- 3. 10 Purples mums
- 4. 3 Black pumpkins
- 5. 5 Black skulls
- 6. 3 Purple pumpkins
- 7. 1 sequin mask
- 8. 1 BOO
- 9. 1 Witches shoe
- 10. Deco Mesh Ribbon
- 11. Grosgrain Ribbon
- 12. Scissors
- 13. Glue gun and glue sticks
- 14. Florist wire
- 15. Florist cutters
Just follow these easy steps using the supplies listed above to make your ownHaunting Halloween Wreath. These is your DIY wreath, so customized it to your preference with colors and styles you like.Just be very careful with the hot glue gun-I seem to always get a small burn or two.STEP 1:Assemble your supplies together in a well lit work area and cover your work space.
Step 2:Space your mums equally and secure with hot glue.
Step 3:Add roses, pumpkins, skulls and mask securing with hot glue.
Step 4:Add witches shoe and wrap grosgrain ribbon around the wreath, securing the beginning and end of ribbon with hot glue.
Step 5:
Add deco-mesh bow and presto you have a Haunting Halloween Wreath!
Thank you for joining me today!

This is great it's so festive and those shades of purple with the black is the best. I stopped decorating for Halloween after we moved on the farm because we don't get trick or treaters anymore. Which is probably good keeps me from eating candy, this was always a fun time of year when the kids were home.

Hello dearest Jemma! Pretty colors. I often go for the natural tones and typical tones of autumn, so it's NICE to see what you can do when you think outside the box and go for PURPLE! Lovely and wonderful!

Ooooo, this is so pretty, Jemma. I saw your Purple wreath and had to come right over, as Purple is my favorite color. The pumpkins and the skeletons and the witch's boot are whimsical, and the big Purple bow adds a special touch. You did a fantastic job on this, and love all the colors.
