Oh what a creative mess I have gotten myself into and I am loving it.
I am waddling in wax, wicks and scented flames.
While I am in this creative blissful state I felt there was no better time to share my passion for candle making.
Included today is a simple step by step guide on how to make DIY Cookie Cutter Soy Candles and glass jar candles too!

fast, and truly quite wonderful.

I think that you will find that working with wax is very similiar to handling clay.
Those fun times in pottery class spurred me on in taking my girls and grandgirls to pottery painting classes as well.
I just tend to believe that as adults when we tap into our creativity we ignite a renewed passion for life.
When we tap into those resources we tend to view life through a keener and happier lens.

Christmas Tree Cookie Cutters For DIY Soy Candles |
- 2 cups soy wax flakes
- Color blocks
- Melting pot for candle making
- Large saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Thermometer (candle or candy)
- Wicks (assorted sizes and lengths
- Cookie Cutters, jars, molds (to shape the candles)
- Foil
- Parchment paper
- Cookie Sheet
- Scissors
- Metal Wick holder
- Oils

How To Make DIY Soy Holiday Candles
- Heat wax to about 185 degrees in melting pot and double boiler.
- Once wax has melted place color block into melted was in melting pot.
- Stir with wooden spoon.
- Remove from heat.
- Add Fragrance. Do not continue to heat or fragrance will dissipate.
- While wax is cooling place wick into cookie cutter or jar using metal wick holder to hold wick in place.
- When wax cools to 135 degrees slowly and carefully pour melted wax into desired container.
- For best results let candles cool at room temperature overnight.
- Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting(do this each time before lighting)
- Enjoy!
