Thanksgiving Blessings|Jemma Tale
Happy Thanksgiving Friends,
For all that might appear to be wrong with America, there is much more that is right with our beautiful Country.
I was reminded of all the blessings which we are receiving from God at our Thanksgiving Eve Church service and pie social last night.
While I am no theologian, I did glean some inspiring take-a-ways from the service last night.
So, today I am sharing 20 Beautiful and simple things that I believe we all can be thankful for.
We are all teetering on the precipice of life every day-right?
We struggle, we cry, we fall, we pick our selves back up and plow along...
So this is the beauty of sharing in the blessings of America together-we suffer together as a nation while at the same time we also have the opportunity to bloom together as one nation under God.
It is when we are at one of our most fragile and vulnerable moments in history that we have the opportunity to grow together.
I really believe that when we focus on the goodness of our country and what we have to be thankful for the narrative of our lives changes dramatically.
20 Simple and Beautiful things to be thankful for on Thanksgiving.
- Cozy blankets on a frosty night.
- Snuggles from our best dog or cat.
- Freedom to govern ourselves.
- Fresh sheets after a long day of turmoil.
- Favorite coffee in a favorite mug.
- Friends that love unconditionally
- Loving conversations with family
- Warm soup on a cold night
- Freedom to drive from one coast of the United States to the other.
- Mountain sunsets.
- Finding seashells along a azure blue coastline.
- Pumpkin pie with a ton of whip cream.
- Faith.
- Freedom to worship.
- Homemade bread dripping in butter.
- First snowfall of the season.
- Laughter of children.
- Starry nights.

Absolutely beautiful - thank you for sharing your heart.
ReplyDeleteHello Carole, I always appreciate your visits. Thank you for being so genuine and a good friend.
DeleteYour list of thanks is beautiful, Jemma. I love the first snowfall of the season, and ours will come soon. Coffee in the morning, and soup on a cold night, and faith.....always faith. It sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving. I did as well. My son roasted the turkey for the second year with lots of spices, and it was tasty. I still make all the sides. I'm thankful for your wonderful blog posts that are filled with so many special things, and for your friendship all these years, Jemma.

Good morning dearest friend! As I was reading your post, I told myself, "This woman is after my own heart." All the musings and hopes are what I grew up believing and internalizing and to this day, hope for. And yet, the world spins out of control around us and sometimes within us. However, gratitude and faith are the unseen entities that can strengthen was is seen. The "little things" like gratitude for the sunrise, sunset and all that is in between, if cultivated daily, can amount to great character. Thank you dear friend for holding on to that which is good. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
ReplyDeleteDear Jemma! You are so sweet and optimistic. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and trust God will bless you with a happy, blessed Christmas.
