I look forward to the first of October.
This is the week of anticipaiton in providing custom bouquets for Kathy Weber from Save The Cowboy.
Save The Cowboy is a non-profit organization whose mission is placed in -”Faith in God and the values of the working ranch cowboy. “
While collaborating with Kathy I also have the pleasure of connecting with Gina Younger, owner of Younger Ranch, where the event is held.
(Gina has referred several private events my way for custom arrangements and I appreciate her for doing so.}
Save The Cowboy hosts it’s annual fundraiser at Younger Ranch which is one of the most beauitful event/wedding venues in Colorado Springs!
Of course I said yes!
Knowing that the first of October can be a bit tricky weather wise I was keeping an eye on my outdoor raised beds.
Of course our weather up here is quite fierce and unpredictable-so I keep a variety of flowers strong, healthy and blooming in the greenhouse.
As the time grew closer one of my daughter's had a health concern.
I was not going to commit to floral design when I needed to be with my daughter.
I reached out to Kathy and told her about my situation.
Of course Kathy was extremely understanding and compassionate.
We both agreed that I would be "on standby," not fully committed.
We are feeling extrememly blessed at this time as my daughter's health scare is currently being monitored.
Through it all -those ups and downs and worries the storm calmed and I was able to design bouquets for Save The Cowboy.
Kathy arrived at Sunnydell Flower Cottage with arms full of bright brilliant blooms, oodles of Sunflowers from Trader Joe's, and a container of vases.
I was ready to get to work!
So much of what I had growing complimented the florals from Trader Joe's,

What I grow and what I arrange are truly a gift from the spirit of my heart.
In return I am blessed by meeting such warm souls.
It is a mutual gift for us all!
